South Central Minnesota's First Minnesota Autism Center

South Central Minnesota has a new center for families affected by autism. This new 22,000 square foot facility is the first of its kind for the area. The Minnesota Autism Center held an open house today, to celebrate its expansion of services to the North Mankato community. Executive director Kathryn Marshall says, We've been in this area for 10 years providing in home services, but the center allows us to impact so many more families."

The Minnesota Autism Center is a non–profit organization that provides home, school, and center–based behavior therapy for children, youth, and families. According to the Centers for Disease Control one out of every 67 children in Minnesota develop autism.
