Blue Earth Area Wins 3A Semifinal, Heads To Prep Bowl

Blue Earth Area was the final team from the KEYC region left after Jackson County Central was defeated Thursday in the 2-A semifinal.
The Buccaneers were at the dome Saturday evening taking on Perham for the chance to advance to the state 3-A championship.
B-E-A got on the board first with a pass from Kysten Zierke to Carter Hanson.  The Yellow Jackets would tie it up, but the Bucs take a 24-13 lead to the lockers after two David Franta touchdowns and a Felix Harseim field goal.  Blue Earth Area would start with the ball in the 2nd half and score with Franta's third T-D of the game, and it would add the insurance the Buccaneers would need to win 31-21.
