Health officials are scrambling to vaccinate one million children against the measles. They are holding emergency vaccination clinics after more than 12–hundred people became infected with the disease

There is only one day left to donate gifts to Operation Christmas Child. The charity distributes shoeboxes filled with gifts for children all over the world. Kids ranging from 2 to 14 will receive these boxes. Collection coordinator Paulette Adams says they have already collected more than 1,800 shoeboxes. Adams says, "People just feel generous and they want to open their hearts and just provide children anywhere in the world with a little bit of hope and a smile and a laugh at Christmas time."
South Central Minnesota's box drop off location is at Hilltop United Methodist Church. The donation deadline is at 1 p.m. tomorrow afternoon.
