A change to the so-called "slayers bill" has passed the Minnesota State Senate this afternoon. The House version of the bill, sponsored by State Rep. Tony Cornish (R-Good Thunder), was driven by a local murder case.

Jack joined the KEYC family in October of 2012. He graduated from Valparaiso University in 2011 with a Bachelors of Science in Meteorology. While attending college, Jack went on two summer storm chases where he saw tornadoes and other severe weather phenomena.
He has also launched weather balloons during snowstorm. Jack was a founding member of the Valparaiso University TV channel group. Today, VUTV has grown and has programming at all hours of the day, including many weather forecasts throughout the day.
Before joining KEYC, Jack worked at a group home for young adults suffering from traumatic brain injuries as well as a swim coach for many years for his city's swim team and USA Swimming team. A native of Detroit, Michigan, Jack enjoys Michigan sports, washing his car, watching movies, and, of course, everything weather.
