MANKATO, MN -

A Mankato woman charged with stabbing a man back in April is sentenced in Blue Earth County Court.

52 year–old Barbara Crawford later pleaded guilty to assault. She faced two felony assault charges stemming from an incident on South Second Street. Officers found a 46 year–old man with stab wounds. Crawford was arrested and booked into Blue Earth County jail the next day. Crawford spent 88 days in jail before posting bail in July.

Judge Krista Jass sentenced her to 21–months in prison. However, that sentence is stayed for ten years if she complies with conditions. Crawford must also pay a thousand dollar fine or perform 133 hours of community service.
