Many shoppers had to make one last stop at the grocery store to prepare for a Thanksgiving feast tomorrow.
 
With less than 24 hours until Thanksgiving the Hilltop Hy-Vee parking lot is almost entirely filled as last minute shoppers get a couple more items from their grocery list."
 
I'm just getting some last minute things, I have everything else bought but I'm getting some spices and things that I need."
 
Store Director of Hy-Vee Dan Olson says, they start preparing for this time of year six months in advance making sure they are fully staffed and fully stocked.
 
Store Director of Hy-Vee Dan Olson says, Lots of stuff going out the door, it's the last night and people are buying their fresh items so we're selling a lot of produce and a lot of turkeys that are fresh not frozen."

Jeff Utzka says he wishes he came earlier to beat the rush.
 
Hy-Vee Shopper, Jeff Utzka says, "I got up at 6a.m. and I could have got it done but that didn't happen either and then I waited until now, it probably would have been better if I came this morning."

Some customers were buying traditional items for Thanksgiving but others came for the good deals.
 
Hy-Vee Shopper, Jim Bode says, "I had everything but I stocked up on a lot of pizzas because they were on sale."

While the hustle and bustle continued throughout the afternoon, Jim Bode is looking forward to relaxing tomorrow. Bode says, "My favorite things I like is being with my family and friends and catching up on things and enjoying the day."
