A New Ulm man is in custody after a domestic assault call led to a standoff.

County authorities got the call around 11:37 AM Wednesday.

A woman reported being assaulted by 19 year–old Erick Allade Fredrick Bunce at a home on 225th Street, and said he was still in the house, and had a shotgun.

After several hours of trying to talk with Bunce, who was barricaded inside, authorities finally got him to surrender peacefully just before four o'clock.

He's now in the Brown County Jail awaiting charges.
