A Fairmont man is facing multiple charges after authorities say he pushed his way into a home and assaulted an ex-girlfriend. Joseph David Bulfer, 31, is charged with three felonies and four misdemeanors including burglary, first degree assault and terroristic threats.
According to the criminal complaint, on November 21 Bulfer went to a home in Northrop where his ex-girlfriend was. He's accused of pushing his way into the home and allegedly grabbed her by the throat and said he was going to kill her, another person in the home and himself. The complaint says Bulfer again assaulted the woman two days later. He faces five separate charges for that incident.
