Comfrey, Minn. -

The Herrig family has its share of hardships. Lisa Herrig says, "Hope we have some good luck instead of all this bad luck."

Water still dripping inside his damaged shop, owner Robert Herrig says if he didn't have bad luck he'd have no luck at all. Robert Herrig says, "That's a bad feeling, about fell right to my knees and ran down here."

A volunteer firefighter, Herrig got the call first Wednesday night. Comfrey Fire Chief Mark Warner says, "Well it's just like the unbelief you know we don't need this, we've had enough destruction."

This isn't the first time the Herrig family's had to rebuild; in 1998 a tornado tore through the town totaling the shop. Robert Herrig says, "I told the insurance guy I'm getting tired of putting shops up."

Battling cancer and losing two family members, Robert refuses to give up. Robert Herrig says, "You just keep plugging away."

And neither does the Comfrey community's support. Lisa Herrig says, "We don't know how to thank anybody, so this is my way to thank them all."

It may not be a happy ending, but as long as they stick together Lisa says they'll have plenty of positive chapters in the years to come.
