Mankato Loyola made the switch to the Valley Conference this season after years in the Gopher. The Crusaders girls basketball team opened the season on the road against the Clippers in Cleveland. Loyola opened up a twenty point lead by halftime and go on to win the opener 58-27, led by 8th grader Lindsey Theuninck with 9 points.
