The city celebrated its third–annual fish house parade. The event is intended to help promote local businesses by attracting people to the downtown area. This year they had 27 different fish houses drive down Third Street. Sean O'Connell led the parade with his fellow Saint Peter High School Chamber Singers. People along the parade route got to enjoy a little holiday caroling in the process. O'Connell says, "It's a lot of fun though because you know its Minnesota, its ice fishing, you know; go anywhere else people might look at you funny. But yeah you know it's a lot of fun it is a lot of fun to do this."
Dozens of kids lined the streets waiting for candy and a chance to see Santa drive down the parade route.
