The City of New Ulm has released its budget blueprint for next year.

According to preliminary numbers, about $2.8 million is budgeted to be collected in taxes for the year 2013. That's approximately $689,000 more dollars than 2012.

In a separate matter coming before the city council this upcoming Tuesday, the city manager is proposing increasing the pay of non-union, full-time workers by 2.4 percent. If approved, the change would take effect starting next year. Benefit levels would not be amended under the proposal.

The wage adjustment would be consistent with the pay changed granted to union employees.
