Shoppers coast carts in and out of isles hunting for the best holiday gifts. Target Executive Team Leader Billy Hanlon says, "You get into the dolls, Barbies, vehicles, action figures, and legos."

Target has a top toys section that shows shoppers some of the most popular items for kids.

Hanlon says at Target, the Christmas season starts right after Halloween. Hanlon says, "It's really just creating that positive experience that when our guests come in they really feel that energy and passion."

23 days till Christmas, it seems that each day is busier than the next. Hanlon says, "I think that excitement builds in November and just carries through December."

Best Buy connected sales manager Casey Koch says, "It tends to get progressively busier and busier and there's times where we're just over run and it's awesome."

The top trending items at Best Buy are the tablets and smartphones. Koch says his holiday spirit grows as the crowds continue climbing. Koch says, "You know what? I think its fun. The more customers the better."

And Hanlon says it's the customer's contagious holiday spirit that makes him merry. Hanlon says, "You know that when it's purchased in store that there's going to be those fun moments created between family and friends."
