New Ulm -
Whether its volunteering to help her children's school pass a referendum, or giving her time to the Boy and Girl Scouts organizations, Michelle Gag is one busy lady. It's a role she embraces and that's why she is one of Lisa's Lights. She is a mom of four active kids. She always makes sure her schedule includes time to help her community of New Ulm. "We can't rely on government funding, we can't rely on everyone being able to put in money. Sometimes its our time and our effort and that makes more of a difference than just dollar." She's been a member of the New Ulm Women of Today for almost 20 years, so its dear to her heart as is one of her newest volunteer ventures, Friends of District 88. "When we gathered last November it was right after referendum failed...just concerned parents, community members, former teachers...we got together and we talked about the impact of the failed referendum and what we could do as community members." All of that effort paid off, the next time around, the referendum passed. She works full time...is a full time mom...and a full time member of her community. Michelle Gag, one of Lisa's Lights.
