Mankato City Manager Gets Raise

MANKATO , MINN. -

After an outstanding performance review, the Mankato City Council is giving city manager Pat Hentges a raise. The council unanimously approved the two percent raise. Hentges adjusted salary is just under $145,000. City council member Mike Laven says Hentges the salary may seem high, but in comparison to similar positions in the private sector, it's very reasonable. Laven says, "This is actually in the private sector he's making significantly less than what his counterparts are if they were running a 100 million dollar company."

Laven says Hentges has built on his success year after year and has not received a salary increase in the past four years.
