MANKATO, Minn. -
Winter Break is just around the corner for MSU–Mankato students and many of them will be going out–of–town for Christmas, leaving a void for one campus nonprofit that will need your help to operate over the break.
Usually student volunteers lead the way at "Campus Kitchen," packing up food that is donated by University Dining Services and local restaurants, and then distributing it to low–income families.
Denis Billiongton-Just with MSU Community Engagement students do leave during breaks and what has happened the past couple years is community members have come up to fill that void and it then adds dimension to that project and it connect students that do stay to work with community."
Starting next week through mid–January Campus Kitchen needsvolunteers to package food on Mondays, deliver on Tuesdays and collect foodthroughout the week.
If you would like to help with the project, you can call MSUCommunity Engagement at 507–389–6076.
