SYRIA -

The fighting in Syria is intensifying even more as President Bashar Al-Assad tries to hang on to his power. U-S officials say Syrian government troops have launched scud missiles at rebels trying to overthrow his government. The rebel forces hit back detonating a car bomb at the Syrian interior ministry killing five people. The rebel groups are gaining more international legitimacy as countries, including the United States, are declaring them to be the legitimate *representative of the Syrian people.
