Minnesota Vikings Kicker Blair Walsh is honored with the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week. The rookie from Georgia earned the accolades after making all 5 of his field goal attempts in Sunday's win over the St. Louis Rams. Three of those field goals were from 50 yards or more, tying an NFL record for most 50+ yard field goals in a game.
This is Walsh's second Player of the Week honor this year. Walsh joins Adrian Peterson and Randy Moss as the only rookies in Vikings history to win the Player of the Week Award multiple times in their first NFL season.
Other Vikings kickers to win the award are: Fuad Reveiz, Gary Anderson, Eddie Murray and Ryan Longwell.
