After 16 years at the helm, Harold Remme is stepping down as Superintendent at New Ulm Public Schools.
Remme made the announcement at Thursday night's school board meeting. Prior to his tenure in New Ulm, Remme served 16 years as Superintendent of Schools at Tracy, MN. He has a total of 46 years in education.
Remme tells News 12 that he has no specific plans, only that it's a good time for him to slow down, and that it's also a good time for the district to have a change in leadership. He cited the recently-passed levy referendum, completed labor agreements, and an improvement in test scores.
