MANKATO , MINN. -

An estimated 30,000 people shopped around River Hills Mall today. Senior General Manager Paul Wilke says this weekend brought close to 150,000 people in. This isn't the last of the Christmas shopping this year. Wilke says the day after Christmas is expected to bring out big numbers as well. Wilke says, "After Christmas sales are typically very big especially early in the morning. The 75 percent off on all Christmas merchandise, so if you need new ornaments or new trees for next year, now is the time to go get them."

The mall closed about an hour ago for the holiday. Some stores, like Target are staying open later.
