Todd Hoffner is out as head football coach at MSU.
The University announcing late Friday night that they've assigned Hoffner to a new position.
He's been tapped to serve as the university's Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities Development.
In that role, he would be responsible for helping develop a Master Facility Plan for Athletics and Recreation Facilities.
The new assignment takes effect immediately.
University officials tell News 12 that the school has been in contact with Hoffner on the matter.
Officials say Hoffner's pay will not change with the new position.
As for the football program, Aaron Keen remains acting head coach for the Mavericks.
The University says they'll be making additional decisions regarding the head football coach position in the coming weeks.
A pending investigation into Todd Hoffner is still ongoing.
