Clear Lake, IA -

A young boy was rescued by his friend in Clear Lake, IA after falling through ice.

The incident happed Friday. Authorities say an 11-year-old boy plunged through the ice, but was rescued by another kid.

Authorities say the victim's friend, who is a 10-year-old, inched out and pulled the boy from the water, back onto the ice.

Officials say the boys were approaching an aerator, when the ice gave way and the 11-year-old fell into the water.

Both boys were more concerned with what their parents were going to say than they were about the incident.

After the incident, officials say the boy was reported to be in good condition.
