Elephants in Nepal got a chance to do their best pageant walk.

The animals and their handlers took to the field in an effort to determine which gentle giant could win the top prize.

Judges looked at decorations on the elephants and judged the animals on their disposition and personality.

Handlers got creative with the contest as well.

In some instances toe polish was applied, and trainers also commanded elephants to kneel down in front of the judges.
