Maple River Edges Fairmont For 2nd Straight Pepsi Tourney Title

Bethany Lutheran College hosted the championship of the Pepsi Holiday Tournament on Saturday night in a rematch of last year's title game between defending champion Maple River and Fairmont.  It was a close one from the start with Eagles and Cardinals tying and swapping leads.  In the end Maple River was able to take a four point lead and take its 2nd straight title, 66-62.

St. Croix Lutheran took 3rd place from LCWM in 2 overtimes 58-56, while Mankato Loyola won the consolation championship beating St. Clair 65-44.  NRHEG claimed 7th after defeating MVL 65-47.
