Two men are in jail for an alleged armed assault over the weekend in Mankato. The Department of Public Safety arrived just after midnight Saturday at 216 Wickfield Drive. According to the victim, a 20–year–old male, at least one of two assailants brandished a handgun in the incident. 19–year–old Trevon Romelle Wynn of Minneapolis and 20–year–old Kamau Evans are in custody in connection with incident. Commander Dan Schisel says, "I think they were at the residence together and then somehow this assault, this disturbance takes place."
The victim did sustain injuries, but did not require hospitalization. Both suspects charges of second–degree assault, fifth degree assault, terroristic threats, and disorderly conduct. Evans faces an additional charge of a felon in possession of a firearm.
