North Mankato -
A second DFLer makes it official. Karl Johnson of North Mankato announced Wednesday morning that he is seeking the House 19A seat soon to be vacated by Terry Morrow.
Johnson is a pork farmer who lives outside of North Mankato. Johnson identifies the Highway 14 project and property tax relief as the two big issues affecting the district.
Last month, longtime Mankato educator Robin Courrier announced her bid for the position. Allen Quist is the only Republican so far to express an interest.
Two members of the Independence Party have also expressed an interest. They are Jeff Thom and Tim Gieseke.
