ANGMERING, ENGLAND -

It's a weird British tradition...for guys who love crashing their cars...over and over again.

Fearless - or mindless -- drivers in wrecked cars racing off ramps trying to fly over a row of ten other wrecked cars in front of hundreds of spectators.

In the end it was 31-year old John Harbour who took the title.  The car mechanic from Crawley, West Sussex cleared all the cars with the most panache.

John, who has been racing bangers for half a dozen years was delighted to take this title, especially since he was a last minute entrant to the competition - egged on by his
fellow racing comrades.

While he won no prize money, he did earn bragging rights, a trophy, and a place in a stunt show next month.
