The 10kato Memorial Day Run and Walk will be held on May 27. Now in its 17th year, the event normally starts at 9. But this year, to be respectful of Memorial Day activities, the race will start at 8:30.

A car stolen from Mankato last month was found about 100 miles away. We told you just before Christmas about a car stolen after it was left running, unlocked and unattended while its owner got ready for work. That car was located in Ramsey County. Jeremy Clifton, said, "On December 26 (it) was found in Vadnais Heights...It was Ramsey County Dispatch that advised us that a sheriff's deputy had located it. There was no suspect inside, no information inside the vehicle on how it got there or who had been operating it." Whoever stole the 1992 Crown Victoria, left it, apparently undamaged, parked along a Ramsey county road. After Mankato Police contacted the owner with information on how to reclaim the car, the case was closed.
