A pair of Big 9 girls basketball games were held in Mankato Friday night. 7th ranked Mankato East hosted Albert Lea, and the Cougars took it to the Tigers 78-56. On the other side of town, Mankato West hosted Austin. The Scarlets and Packers battled all game long, but Austin ekes out the win 49-48.
