A Waterville Man is behind bars after pleading guilty to third degree criminal sexual conduct on Tuesday.

Twenty–eight–year–old Bradley O'Donoghue of Waterville is sentenced to 91 months in prison for the new charge and 36 months on a probation violation, which will run concurrently.

The latest case began last September when Waterville Police received a report about an incident involving an underage girl between the ages of 13 and 16.

Waterville Police Chief, John Manning says, "It happens in every community and unfortunately it did occur here the only bright point about this is that we have this person off the street."

Authorities say Waterville Police and the Le Sueur County Sheriff's office investigated; and after months of investigation, eventually got a guilty plea from O'Donoghue.

Police Officer, Richard Droog says, "On a big case like this or something small we know we can count on each other and it's always nice to know that we can do these joint investigations to help put the sex offenders and the bad guys in prison where they need to be."

O'Donoghue rented from this house located on Paquin Street in Waterville. The homeowner is currently looking for someone to rent the one bedroom apartment. She did not wish to comment regarding this case.

O'Donoghue was already on probation for a previous conviction in New Prague; that case happened in August 2010 involving another minor. An investigator from Le Sueur County assisted on that case.

Sheriff Tomas Doherty says, "We do whatever we can to make citizens of Le Sueur county safe as possible. Sometimes our hands are tied but we do the best we can.
