The Mankato East girls basketball team dropped a big non-conference showdown Tuesday night when they lost to class 2-A powerhouse NRHEG 78-68.
Tonight saw the Cougars looking to bounce back in Big 9 play when they hosted Owatonna.
That is what they did as Claire Ziegler led the way with 22 points and Mankato East wins 74-51.
On the West side of Mankato, the Scarlets hosted Rochester Mayo. The Spartans would outlast Mankato West 59-42.
