Mavericks Men And Women Sweep The Dragons From The Other MSU

The 11th ranked MSU men's basketball team had a showdown with MSU Moorhead on Saturday night.  Both teams were 7-1 in NSIC play coming into the contest, but the Mavericks looked to make a point early who was the better team, jumping out to a 21-4 lead.  The Mavs would not let the Dragons get back into the game either as MSU Mankato goes on to win big 87-64.

The 24th ranked MSU women's basketball team was just as impressive going earlier against Moorhead.  The Mavs led by 9 at halftime, but a career high 23 points from Aubrey Davis helped open the lead, as MSU-Mankato went on to win 74-55.
