Authorities in Estherville, Iowa reporting a car vs. pedestrian accident has turned fatal. According to Estherville police, 73-year-old Judith Anderson was crossing Highway 9 Monday morning around 10:15, when she was struck by 60-year-old Dean Lundgren, also of Estherville. Authorities say she was in the crosswalk when she was hit at the intersection with Highway 4. Anderson was airlifted to a Sioux falls Hospital where she died of her injuries.
