Melbourne, Australia -

Melbourne zoo's newest addition makes its first public outing. It only took a day after being born for this proud mama to show off her baby elephant. The mum, as they say down under, Num-Oi stayed close to her teetering newborn son. Zoo keepers also had to help. This is the third elephant to ever be born at Melbourne zoo. Officials there say having a baby elephant born in captivity is really difficult in fact there's about a 50% rate of success but so far so good with this one!
