In addition to extending its hours the shelter opens other areas of the building to make sure the men don't have to go outside at all today. The shelter has 23 bunks and is beyond capacity having some men sleep on cots. Shelter supervisor Kyle Rollings says the number of men staying at the shelter have tripled from last year. If the shelter runs out of cots he says they have mats and no matter how many guests they have, they will not turn anyone out in this cold weather. Rollings says, "It's dangerous you know. It's dangerous, being outside. There is nowhere for them to go."
