MANKATO, MN -

A Jury trial has been set for one of two men accused of assault with a dangerous weapon. According to court records, the jury trial for 19–year–old Trevon Romelle Wynn of Minneapolis, will begin March 12th in Blue Earth County. According to the criminal complaint, the incident happened in Mankato on December 29th. The Department of Public Safety responded to reports of an assault and robbery at 216 Wickfield Drive. The alleged victim, a 20–year–old male, told police he was leaving a party and was attacked by Wynn and another man, Kamau Evans, of North Mankato. The man told authorities that Wynn and Evans drew pistols after kicking him while he was balled–up on the ground.  Wynn faces five felony charges, including: two counts of second degree assault with a dangerous weapon and three counts of first degree aggravated robbery. According to court officials, an omnibus hearing for Evans is scheduled for Wednesday, January 23, 2013.
