Algeria -

The state department has confirmed that three Americans were among those killed during last week's hostage standoff at a natural gas plant in Algeria. The terrorists who captured the Americans offered to release them if the U.S. released two terror suspects being held in the U.S.. However, the government rejected that deal. And, in the end, all of the terrorists and as many as 50 hostages were killed. Seven Americans did make it out of Algeria alive.
