MANKATO, Minn. -

Mankato's downtown is a great place to be, but the city center partnership is hoping to soon make it even better for pedestrians.

Today the city center partnership moved forward on its Front Street Connectivity Plan by bringing together community stakeholders to brainstorm ideas on how to enhance the front street corridor. Objectives of the plan include improving the cleanliness, safety, and accessibility of area.

Eric Harriman say, "We hoping maybe by end of march or beginning of April have a draft plan available for review by the community with some concepts and ideas of what we can do in this area."

They will then come back with a finalized version that will have implementation strategies and funding strategies in place to accomplish the plan.
