Icy road conditions making travel difficult Sunday. A two vehicle crash on highway 169 near St. Peter before 3 p.m. served as an all too common scene. Tow trucks and road crews were busy treating the roads and clearing them of the slush, racing the clock before the temps dropped and everything froze.

MNDOT advising motorists not to travel unless absolutely necessary. That danger on the roads prompting many planned activities to be canceled. That includes the Mankato Symphony Orchestra's performance at West High School Sunday afternoon.
