Four people were arrested by Brazilian authorities in connection with the nightclub fire early Sunday morning that left at least 245 people dead and hundreds more injured. The suspects include the club's two owners, a security guard, and a band member who was performing the pyrotechnics show that triggered the blaze. Many mourners are also questioning why people trapped when the club was engulfed in flames had so little chance to escape. According to one survivor, the disaster unfolded very quickly, adding that after the ceiling ignited the entire club was filled with toxic smoke within minutes. Most of the victims were suffocated by toxic fumes.
