Congress Passes Sandy Relief Package

WASHINGTON D.C. -

Congress has passed more than 50-billion dollars in emergency relief for victims of Superstorm Sandy. The Senate passed the bill last night with a 62-36 vote. Supporters say the money is desperately needed to rebuild homes and businesses. The 36 Republicans who voted against it wanted 50-billion dollars in spending cuts somewhere else to keep from adding to the national debt. President Obama says he will sign the bill.
