WASHINGTON D.C. -

President Obama's pick to be the next Defense Secretary heads to Capitol Hill today for his nomination hearing. Former Senator Chuck Hagel faces an uphill battle. Some of his former Republican colleagues oppose his nomination because they believe he is tough on Israel and soft on Iran. Hagel has been making the rounds meeting individually with Senators hoping to win more support. If confirmed, he would become the first former enlisted man to ever serve as Secretary of Defense.
