The MSU basketball teams started out the weekend the way they had hope, both winning at University of Mary in Bismark on Friday.
This evening the teams were looking to complete the weekend sweep at Minot State.
Both teams had their hands full with the men leading by three at halftime. The 7th ranked Maverick men would pull away in the end to win 72-83.
The women's game was a bit more interesting. MSU led most of the way, but Minot State cut the Mavs lead three with a minute and a half to play. The Mavericks hang on to win 83-82.
