Officials aren't talking specifics, but say an Alabama man who had held a 5-year-old in an underground bunker for nearly a week is dead and that the boy was rescued safely. The FBI says the decision to storm the bunker was made after negotiations deteriorated and the boy faced imminent danger. A neighbor says he heard a boom and a gunshot about the time officials say the standoff ended.
