WASHINGTON D.C. -

Let's head back to Washington D.C. now where John Kerry got a big welcome his first day on the job as the country's 68th Secretary of State. Making remarks at the State Department in Washington, D.C. this morning, Kerry thanked his predecessor Hillary Rodham Clinton for her and her team's tireless work. the former Massachusetts senator and 2004 presidential candidate vowed to not let the legacy of fallen Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others killed in an attack on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi become obscured by politics. He said he would focus on the security and safety of the department's employees starting day one on the job.
