ST. PETER, MINN. -

The North Mankato man facing 22 felony drug and weapons charges makes his initial court appearance Tuesday morning.

In Nicollet County court the defense attorney for 29 year old Michael Caya says they are still in the discovery stage, so the judge granted a new court date of Feb. 19.

Right now, Caya remains in custody. Bail is set at $75,000 with conditions, and $150,000 without.

Authorities say a search of his home on Robin Court in Northridge Estates turned up guns, ammunition and drug paraphernalia, as well as methamphetamine and other drugs.
