MANKATO , MINN. -

Three arrests have been made in connection with an armed robbery that occurred late last month near Birchwood Avenue in Mankato.

Mankato Public Safety says Emmanuel Dak Wal, 18, of Albert lea, along with a 17 year old from Albert Lea and  a 16 year old Juvenile from Mankato are now in custody.

 You may recall, two men reported being approached by unknown suspects who asked to use a cell phone. It happened around 4:30 the morning of January 27th in the area of Birchwood Street, Dillon and Floral Avenues.

The victims say one of the suspects displayed what appeared to be a short-barreled shotgun.

No one was injured, but the suspects took the two victims' wallets and cell phones before driving away.

Mankato Department of Public Safety police arrested the suspect from Mankato. The other two suspects were taken into custody by Albert Lea police.
