On the high school hockey front, the playoffs have started for the girls and here in Mankato tonight, the cougars of Mankato EAST/loyal, the number 2 seed in section 2a hosted the 7th seeds from St. Peter–LeSueur–Henderson–TCU. The Cougars won 8-1 behind a hat trick from Katy Snyder.
