
DULUTH, Minn. (AP) _ Eriah Hayes had a trick and assisted on a goal to lead Minnesota State, Mankato to a 5-1 win over Minnesota-Duluth.
Hayes scored three times on the power play, twice in the third period in Saturday's Western Collegiate Hockey Association game. The Mavericks were 3-for-6 with a man advantage.
Zack Lehrke, Teddy Blueger and Hayes scored first-period goals for the Mavericks (18-9-3, 12-9-1), who swept the two-game series. Lehrke, Blueger and Hayes also scored in the third period on Friday as Minnesota State, Mankato rallied to beat Minnesota-Duluth 4-2.
Lehrke had a goal and an assist and Matt Leitner assisted on three goals.
Stephon Williams made 34 saves. He allowed only Tony Cameranesi's goal in the second period.
The MSU women beat 10th ranked UMD 2-1 earlier in the day as well.
