MANKATO, Minn. -

A cruise ship immobilized in the Gulf of Mexico for four days—will that make you think twice about booking your next cruise?

The Carnival ship Triumph was stranded in the Gulf of Mexico Sunday after an engine–room fire cut power, creating conditions passengers have described as uncomfortable and unsanitary.

A travel agent at the travel and cruise center in Mankato says she doesn't expect this rare incident to cloud the sunny industry's forecast.

Travel Agent Lee Kesselring says, "We still continue to book cruises every single day, and cruising is regulated, this the safest form of travel, hundreds of cruise ships leave ports leave daily."

Lee Kesselring says the land and travel center has dozens of people booked for cruises in the next couple months, and they haven't got a single call from people wanting to cancel or worried about safety for their trips.
